Camponotus in general can be quite slow to get going, so we will send this first. Some species can be faster than others, such as Camponotus Nicobarensis. They are large, powerful Ants, often with Major workers in later colony stages.

Camponotus are also known as Carpenter Ants, this does not mean they eat wood, although they will chew though it. They do prefer the conditions offered by a damp or rotting log, often choosing to nest around fallen trees and forested areas.
