The Cryptic Praying Mantis is a small communal species, females tend to be larger than males. They have a long thin thorax and distinctive projections from the head, prothorax and femurs.
 
Cryptic mantises prefer flying insects throughout their entire lifecycle.
 
Feeding of this species is very easy – you can feed small nymphs with fruit flies and offer larger prey like Green Bottle,house fly or small moths to adults.
